1. New RGC Head Librarian
Leigh Kilman, the new Head Librarian for RGC, will begin on May 22nd.
Her email address is lkilman@austincc.edu. Be sure and add her to your
mail groups. I am working on Lee’s schedule and will have 60-70% of her
schedule on her ical by the middle of next week.
2. Weekend College
You may have seen the article in the paper. The second weekend college
will be the RVS campus. We have already prepared a budget for what it
would cost to increase hours at the RVS library.
3. Facilities
a. South Austin is on schedule and will open up the fall semester. I
have received the first round of job applications and will be forming
committees to select applicants for interviews.
b. Although the Cypress campus will not increase the number of students
until the fall of ’07 (August 2007) due to renovating existing space,
the new building with the new library will open in January 2007.
